Got a new photo gallery up on my site:

DJcopydog.com Gallery 48.

There are lots of good pics in there. And, as always... if you want a high-res copy of any of the images, please let me know.

Couple of things [Mar. 29th, 2007|01:05 am]
I just read the entire series of Cyanide and Happiness. It is a pretty good webcomic, EXCEPT when Kris is the author. Those are like reading family circus.

I have been keeping up with the Picture of the Day on DJcopydog.com. Ryan Tone and Dan Maxwell are now both posting to the site as well. Dan is currently posting random pictures from the Dying Days tour.

Awesomecam has a couple of shows lined up. One is NEXT weekend (more info on that when Dying Days comes back into town), the next is June 16th in Bellingham, and the third is July 13th in Olympia. Exact details on those shows will come when everything is finalized.

Rebirth of my Dot Com [Mar. 8th, 2007|10:22 pm]
The yearly subscription to DJcopydog.com is coming up... and, I decided if I was going to re-new it again, I better make it worth the money. So, DJcopydog.com is now a "Picture of the Day" blog.

Each day I have drawn a new picture, and sent it to my blog. I talk a little about the picture, how it was created, and then I may have some flavor in between.

So, please please take a look at the site, and tell me what you think!

SECRET SONG [Jan. 31st, 2007|11:44 pm]
Here are the facts:

Step 1: Awesomecam
Step 2: ?
Step 3: CON-RADical

Listen to the new CON-RADical song at least twice. It will take you away.

More and more of this old school punk to come your way.

William Hung and Me [Jan. 16th, 2007|07:24 pm]

I love how you can see Conradical in the background. The Conradical song sounds a bit similar to DJcopydog... hmmm.

Such a weird week... after sleeping in my car in the Tacoma Dome parking lot, buying an emergency pair of pants, and just trying to get home... William Hung just came into my work. Sooo random.

Happy Blue Friday. Go Hawks.

[EDIT] Just went and met the guy, and had my picture taken with him! Picture to come later!

The Skateboard King
By Tommy Skaggs Age: 9
March 20, 1994

One day this one boy named Tommy was in his house. His mom went to work my dad went to the library and my brothers were at friends’ houses.

I was here home alone until I got a phone call from my friend Daniel he said Do you want to be in the skateboard contest?” then I said “Yes.

That night I asked my dad he said “Ask mom so I did and my mom said “NO!”

The next day I heard the practice skateboard start. So the next day I went to the contest and I became the skate board king. My mom was mad at me.

I know the grammar and punctuation is all messed up, but that is exactly how it looked in my 3rd grade journal I just found.

There are a bunch in here. Classics like "The #1 Baseball Card," "The Brain Transfer," "Part II of Jurrassic Park" and "The Rainy Month."

Merry Christmas!! [Dec. 25th, 2006|03:04 am]
Well! MERRY CHRISTMAS! This is the 6th year in a row of the DJcopydog.com tradition of having a Christmas Flash Movie! Check it out HERE. It really isn't as long, or as animated as I wanted it to be, but life has just been so busy for me the last few weeks. Here is a list of things I have been up to:
  • My job is awesome. My co-workers are great, and Entercom is just a good company to work for.

  • I am still looking for a living situation on the Seattle/Eastlake area. I want to have something close to work (1820 Eastlake Ave E.; Seattle, WA 98102), and still be in my price range (the max I can afford is $600/month). If you know of anyone (or are someone) who is looking for an apartment in this area, please let me know! Or, if you see any online posting, please shoot me a message.

  • Justine is doing good. We went to see the Nutcracker on Saturday at the Temple Theatre in downtown Tacoma. She really loved it. Afterwards, we went to the Cloverleaf for some pizza, and a game of pool. She is getting better at pool, and almost won.

  • Dan and I are still practicing in his basement. We are getting half-way decent, and are excited to play our first show in a few weeks. More details on that as they roll in.
Well, I have been up for a long time, and I have to thank Bawls for keeping me up this late. If it wasn't for that magical drink, Christmas Flash 2006 would have not been here on time.

Merry Christmas everyone... and R.I.P. James Brown. We will miss you.

Dear Tommy, Where Have You Been? [Nov. 30th, 2006|11:09 pm]
For those of you who do not know, I have landed a full-time job at Entercom-Seattle. My official title is “KTTH Traffic Coordinator.” It is just a fancy way of saying “I put the commercials where they go, and schedule programming for KTTH and KIRO.”

I enjoy the job, but I am still living in Tacoma, and the commute is killing me. I leave the house around 6:10am, and don’t arrive home until around 8pm (earlier or later, depending on busses). With that said, I have no time to do anything…

I do not have enough income to live near my workplace. Starting in January, I would like to have a couple of roommates, near Eastlake… or, maybe even touching into the U-District a bit. Because I am still paying off student loans, I only have about $600 to spend on rent (including utilities a month). So, if anyone in the area knows someone, or is also currently looking for a roommate… please let me know ASAP.

With the job, I still have found time to work on music with Dan. This is the “Post-Awesomecam Project.” We got a couple of songs under our belt, and are underway of filming our second video. We actually built a stage in his garage. Pictures will come soon. We are going to once again venture NORTH this weekend… this time to see Valient Thorr. If you have not heard of them… you are missing out. Check out my photo galleries on DJcopydog.com

Speaking on DJcopydog.com… would you miss it if it disappeared off of the internet? I have had ZERO response on the CDSwap, and I am only getting about 25 hits a day (most of which are people looking at Freezepop pictures).

The time of year has come to create Christmas Flash 2006. What would you like to see this year? Any specific themes? Any ideas? I am plumb out. If you don’t know what I am talking about, head over to Newgrounds.com and do an artist search for “DJcopydog.” Play all of the Christmas animations. I really need some direction here… or, at least a handful of people that promise to watch it. I need some motivation.

Sickness is in my body. I can barely breathe/swallow/talk. I can’t even cough. So, on the way home from work, I went to the Urgent Care center in Tacoma. Since I did not have strep throat, the doctor could not prescribe any real kind of medication. So, he told me to just drink Slurpees. I replied, “You are my kind of doctor.” Then, he wrote me a real prescription for Vicaden. Yee-ow.

World of Warcraft is once again on the back burner. I got Aloof halfway through level 38, and I no longer have time to play. Once I get a place in Seattle, Aloof will once again roam the hills of Azeroth. I DID buy a lot of the cards for the card game. I have 2 decks made, so if any of you wanted to play… Just let me know.

I have so many other things to say, but I am guessing nobody has actually read up until this point anyways. I am just exhausted with everything, really. If I can just get a place in Seattle, and have more time to relax and make some music, I will be fine. Please respond to anything in this message. Talk to you soon.

Love Always,
Tommy Skaggs
